York City Council has canceled its legislative meeting Tuesday due to inclement weather, freezing temperatures and potentially unsafe road conditions, according to a news release from the council.
The council will hold its committee meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at York City Hall, 101 S. George St. The council’s next legislative meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024.
“The wellbeing of our staff and citizens is paramount, and we do not want to risk their safety, especially considering the freezing temperatures and potentially hazardous road conditions once the sun goes down,” City Council President Edquina Washington said in the release. “Please be safe, stay warm and avoid any unnecessary travel.”
