NATCHITOCHES, La. – The runoff race for Natchitoches mayor was clearly one to watch as it was a repeat of four years ago.
Incumbent Natchitoches Mayor Ronnie Williams, Jr. is interviewed by KTBS 3’s Sidney Lain following his election win Saturday night.
This time, Incumbent Mayor Ronnie Williams, Jr. won the race, beating former Mayor Lee Posey 53 percent to 47 percent.
“As we look to the future, there are still challenges to overcome and opportunities to seize. These challenges are all the more comparable with the over $40 million in grant funding that will be implemented over the next four years. Get ready, Natchitoches, because so much is coming,” Williams said.
Posey was defeated by Williams in the 2020 Natchitoches mayoral election.
