WakeUP Wake County, a nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy group that encourages public engagement and participation in key issues facing Triangle residents, will host a series of forums so that voters can hear from candidates running for Raleigh City Council and the mayor’s office.

Each forum is free and open to the public. Each will be streamed on WRAL.com and in the WRAL News app for those who can’t attend in person.

The 2022 Raleigh City Council Candidate Forum Series will host seven events, one for each city council district and the at-large office and one for mayor:

  • District B (far northeast Raleigh) forum at Green Road Community Center on September 10, 5-7 p.m.
  • District A (north Raleigh) forum at Compass Rose Brewery on September 12, 6-8 p.m.
  • District C (southeast Raleigh) forum at Chavis Community Center on September 18, 5-7 p.m.
  • District D (southwest Raleigh) forum at Trophy Brewing on Morgan Street on September 21, 6-8 p.m.
  • At-Large forum (represents all Raleigh residents) at Artspace in Downtown Raleigh on September 27, 6-8 p.m.
  • District E (northwest Raleigh) forum at Clouds Brewing on Front Street on September 29, 6-8 p.m.
  • Mayoral forum at the Muslim Youth and Community Center on October 1, 2-4:30 p.m.

Childcare will be available upon request at each location. Masks are encouraged.
