Ward 10 city council member files for reelection | NewsRadio 1230 AM/99.3 FM | Hopkinsville’s News Leader | #citycouncil


With Hopkinsville City Council seats up for election next year, current Ward 10 council member Steve Keel filed for reelection as a Republican on Wednesday.

Keel has served as council member since he was elected in 2021. Along with his work on City Council, Keel has served on the Community and Development Services Board since 2017 and has positions on the Future Funding Review Committee and the Hopkinsville Solid Waste Enterprise Board.

The filing deadline to run for a partisan office that will be on the ballot in 2024 is January 5, while the deadline for non-partisan office positions is in June.
