Wall Street is in danger, NYC mayor says

(MENAFN) The US is in a stagnation, New York Mayor Eric Adams announced on Thursday, denying earlier statements by Leader Joe Biden that the economy is “on the right path.”

“We are in a financial crisis like you can never imagine… Wall Street is collapsing; we are in a recession,” Adams stated at a New York event held by nonprofit Project Hospitality, as mentioned by Hamodia news agency.

“You tell me what to take off the plate if you want me to put something else on the plate. I’m coming to you as a city and saying, ‘This is how much we have, that’s it,” he declared.

The top city official’s claims come against the pledges that Biden gave before on Thursday, saying that regardless of the fact “the economy is slowing down,” Washington’s hard work to face high inflation in the nation put it “on the right path.”
