It will be a rather busy start to the month in the City of Two Rivers as far as meetings are concerned.

Starting things off this morning (August 1st) will be the Committee on Aging, which will be in the Senior Center Library at 8:30 a.m.

After getting input from the public and receiving their usual reports, the group will discuss the allowance of dogs on public beaches.

Then at 10:000 a.m., the Room Tax Commission will convene in the Council Chambers.

They will discuss some possible funding for Kites Over Lake Michigan, before entering a closed session.

In that session, they will get an update on the court filings by the City and Room Tax Commission and will discuss their next steps before continuing their discussion on the City’s Tourism organizational configuration.

Closing out the day will be the City Council, which will gather at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.

They will give the public time to voice their input before getting updates on some ongoing road construction projects before entering a closed session to discuss a proposed property purchase from Manitowoc County.
