The Next California Gold Rush Is the Move to Florida

Regarding your editorial “The Great Pandemic Wealth Migration” (June 4): My wife and I moved from California to Florida in 1996. Even then we realized that the Sunshine State would afford us a superior standard of living. Until about a year ago, however, I don’t recall seeing even one car with a California license plate here in Miami-Dade County. Now it isn’t uncommon for me to spot several a week.

It is my hope that these fellow ex-Golden Staters find as much happiness here as I have. If they were to ask my advice, I would tell them to embrace the humidity and leave the politics of our former home at the border.
