Council Bluffs Mayor Matt Walsh was something of a guest of honor at The Terrace on Friday, Dec. 15, as the River’s Edge cafe hosted a holiday market with local merchants selling their wares.
In addition to supporting area businesses for the holidays, patrons were also treated to the unveiling of a new signature drink: the Mayor Matt Old Fashioned, which offers The Terrace’s take on the classic whisky cocktail.
“It’s great to support a local nonprofit … and so to come out tonight and not only celebrate with The Terrace, but to look at the some of the wares of the local artists and pick up that last minute Christmas gift makes a week away from Christmastime a nice event,” Walsh said. “It’s fun to be here. I’m not so sure it’s about naming a drink after me, but whatever I can do, I’m happy to do.”
Profits from The Terrace, located at 4201 River’s Edge Parkway, Sute 100, support the mission of Trivium Life Services, which provides behavioral health and long-term support services for its clients, including mental health therapy and substance abuse treatment.
