With Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg announcing that he would not seek reelection, that opened up the floor for candidates seeking to take his place.Among those running in the March 5 election are small businessman Steve Hansen, public health professional Dr. Flojaune Cofer, physician Dr. Richard Pan and Assemblymember Kevin McCarty.If one of them wins half of the votes plus one extra vote, they’ll become mayor.
