PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Republican Executive Committee, via the Parkersburg City Republican Committee, is accepting resumes for the vacant District 9 City Council seat.
All applicants must show their address so the committee may verify they live in the district. Resumes must be received by the committee no later than Tuesday, Dec. 5.
Interested candidates must be prepared for a possible interview by the committee on Wednesday, Dec. 6.
All interested candidates are asked to submit their resumes to The WCREC, P.O. Box 4737, Parkersburg, WV 26104. They may also be emailed to scot.c.heckert@gmail.com.
The seat was declared vacant during Tuesday’s Parkersburg City Council meeting, two weeks after Councilman Ray Eubanks announced his resignation. The term would last until the end of 2024, with the seat on the ballot next year.
