SALISBURY, Md – Local businesses owner and property Manager Randy Taylor is announcing his bid for Salisbury City Mayor.
Taylor tells 47ABC that he is running on a pro-business and smart development platform.
He tells us he wants to increase accountability in the town around development decisions including the Horizon Development program in downtown Salisbury.
Taylor says he is concerned the town had to dip into surplus for its previous budget
He says he’s for smart growth but wants to incorporate existing businesses into decisions- in a way he claims is not being done enough.
“I’ve been a 25-year banker, I’m currently running a company so I’m definitely pro-business and I’m pro-development, but at the same time, we’ve got to do it smartly, we’re going to do it sensitively and we’ve got to do it with the people in my I mean, we just can’t do it to our community,” Taylor said.
The filing deadline to file as a candidate for the Mayor is August 22, 2023.
