Peru City Council To Take Back Up Air BnB Debate | Classic Hits 103.9 WLPO | #citycouncil

After weeks of discussion and putting off a decision, the fate of Air BnB’s could become clear Monday in Peru.

The city council meets at 7 o’clock and listed on their agenda are votes dealing with an ordinance licensing and regulating bed and breakfast establishments and short-term rentals.  Francisco Sandoval initially requested a special use permit in April to turn a home on Center Place in Peru into an Air BnB.  At that time, Peru Mayor Ken Kolowski and at least one other alderman were vocal in being leery of Air BnB’s in their city.

The Peru City Council is also looking to approve paying a new sign at Washington Park naming a field after longtime Major League Baseball pitcher J.A. Happ.
