Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert says there will not be an annexation package recommended in 2023.
Stothert announced her decision Tuesday, saying the annual evaluation did not show any Sanitary and Improvement Districts that met her annexation goals.
“This year is a unique exception to my strong record of growth through annexation,” Stothert said in a statement. “We carefully evaluate every SID to be certain we can generate new revenue and continued growth of our city. This year, it is not financially beneficial.”
