The First Presidency has released exterior renderings for four new temples — the Singapore Temple, the Kaohsiung Taiwan Temple, the Modesto California Temple and the Knoxville Tennessee Temple.
The renderings were published Monday, Dec. 19, on ChurchofJesusChrist.org, along with the release of locations and site maps for three additional temples — two in the United States and one in Chile.
President Russell M. Nelson announced all four new temples within the past two years — the Singapore temple at April 2021 general conference, the Kaohsiung temple at in October 2021 general conference, and the Modesto and Knoxville temples earlier this year in April 2022 general conference.
Detailed design plans for each temple are still being developed. Further information will be made public later. Groundbreaking dates will be announced in the future.
Kaohsiung Taiwan Temple

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
The Kaohsiung Taiwan Temple is planned as a single-story, 10,900-square-foot building on a 1.26-acre site near Dachang Road and Dehua Street in the Niaosong District of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. The site location and map were previously released on Nov. 28.
Taiwan is home to more than 62,000 Latter-day Saints in nearly 100 congregations, with missionaries first having arrived in Taiwan in 1956. The Taipei Taiwan Temple was dedicated in November 1984.
Singapore Temple

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
The two-story temple of approximately 18,000 square feet will be built on a 1-acre lot at 233 Pasir Panjang Road in Singapore, Republic of Singapore. A meetinghouse and arrival center is be constructed adjacent to the temple. The location and site map were published Oct. 10.
The Singapore Temple will be the first for the sovereign island city-state in maritime Southeast Asia and will serve members there and in other countries in the region. Rather than a city and country or state name like most of the Church’s temples, it will be known simply as the Singapore Temple.
Missionary work in Singapore started in 1968, with the Church having a cosmopolitan mix of members from Chinese, Malaysian, Indian, European and other ethnic and national backgrounds who have been drawn to Singapore and its hub of commerce, educational and cultural opportunities.
Knoxville Tennessee Temple

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Plans for the Knoxville Tennessee Temple call for a single-story edifice of approximately 30,000 square feet. The location — a 4.99-acre site at 13001 Kingston Pike in Farragut, Tennessee — and site map were released on Oct. 31.
The temple will be the third in Tennessee, home to more than 55,000 Church members in over 110 congregations. Dedicated and operating temples are in Nashville and Memphis.
Modesto California Temple

With plans for a single-story building of approximately 30,000 square feet, the Modesto California Temple will be constructed on a 17.63-acre site next to an existing meetinghouse at 4300 Dale Road, in Modesto. The temple’s location and site map were published Oct. 10.
California is home to more than 730,000 Latter-day Saints in nearly 1,200 congregations. The temple will be the state’s 10th — withe other California temples are the operating Los Angeles, Newport Beach, Redlands, Oakland, San Diego, Sacramento and Fresno temples, with the Feather River and Yorba Linda temples under construction.
