Thursday night’s vote came weeks after Lynn was given a positive evaluation in April.That evaluation was his first and only with the city thus far.Lynn said he was given a pay raise, additional vacation time and other benefits and had no infractions.Mayor Lee told us that he could not comment on the situation due to it being a personnel matter.Lynn said he does plan to appeal and that he has five days to do so.After that, city council has 30 days to schedule a public hearing.The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office told WJCL 22 News that it is investigating a City of Rincon employee but could not disclose the nature of that investigation.Lynn joined the city in September 2022 and previously worked for the City of Tybee, Douglasville, Hogansville and Surry County, Virginia.
