The Mission Viejo City Council generally meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.

This meeting schedule can change, particularly in months with national holidays, so be sure to check the status of a meeting at the agenda link below. Make sure to check the agency’s website also for the latest protocols on in-person and/or virtual attendance.

MEETING TIME: The council’s regular meeting typically starts at 6 p.m. If there are any closed session items, that portion of the meeting usually begins at 5 p.m.

MEETING LOCATION: Council Chamber at City Hall, 200 Civic Center. Residents can watch the meetings live on Cox Channel 30, A&T Channel 99 or via live stream on the city’s website.

PUBLIC COMMENT: Residents can submit a comment by emailing cityclerk@cityofmissionviejo.org. In the subject line of the email, they should include their name and the item they are commenting on. If commenters wish to submit a public comment on more than one agenda item, they should send a separate email for each item they are commenting on. All public comments must be received by email no later than 5 p.m. on the day of the meeting.

Commenters who want to speak in person can do so by seeing the city clerk at the meeting. Residents can speak on items on the agenda when the council gets that agenda item during the meeting, or speakers can comment on non-agenda items during the public comments portion at the beginning of the meeting.
