TRENTON – Mayor W. Reed Gusciora was sworn in for his second term along with Jennifer Williams (North Ward), Teska Frisby (West Ward), Joe Harrison (East Ward), and Jenna Figueroa Kettenberg (South Ward) at City Hall Sunday.
The Capital City will hold an inauguration for all newly elected city officials once the Mercer County Clerk certifies the results of the January 24 At-Large runoff.
“We are united by our belief that Trenton’s brightest days are ahead. We all believe that the only way to move forward is together. We all know that change, revitalization, and new beginnings are coming to the Capital City. I look forward to working with the newly elected Trenton City Council,” said Mayor Gusciora.
Each newly appointed official took the time to thank all of their supporters and express excitement about getting started.
Jennifer Williams, joined by her wife and children at the podium, said, “ You don’t achieve things without the help of others. My promise to you is I will bring respect, honor, and commitment back to Trenton and I know everyone I work with will do the same.”
Next at the podium was Teska Frisby joined by her husband, sons, and mother-in-law.
“I’m looking forward to being a part of the movement,” Frisby said. “Lawrence is fantastic. Robbinsville is fantastic. Newark is fantastic. Camden is great, but none of them are the Capital City. We’re the Capital City.”
Jenna Figueroa Kettenberg was sworn in next.
“ I am so grateful to so many of you, who had faith in me, who helped me, who believed in me, who supported me, and who thought I was the right person for South Ward council.”
After a brief intermission, Councilman Joe Harrison was sworn in with his mother by his side.
Keeping it short and sweet, Harrison said, “Let’s make this City what it should be.”
