JONESBORO, Ga. – FOX 5 Atlanta has learned that the mayor of Jonesboro has fired the city’s police chief, effective immediately.
In a letter provided to the FOX 5 I-Team, Mayor Donya Sartor cited the city’s charter along with personal policies and procedures in terminating Chief Tommy Henderson.

Henderson has been the police chief for about 3 years.

Henderson also did not immediately respond to our call for comment.
