Mayor Frank Cownie pens letter calling for response from Indira Sheumaker


Des Moines Mayor Frank Cownie has released a letter he sent to a council member who has not shown up for meetings since March.Indira Sheumaker last attended a city council meeting on March 6. Residents filed a written complaint earlier this summer, and a lawyer for several neighbors in Ward 1 recently called on the council to take action.The mayor says she hasn’t responded to any messages from city staff either.
