MAYOR FOUTS DEDICATES STREET IN HONOR OF JASON DUNN LONGTIME WARREN RESIDENT AND DYSTONIA CHAMPION – JASON DUNN WAY

Warren Mayor Jim Fouts has dedicated a street in Warren in honor of longtime Warren resident and Dystonia champion Jason Dunn. Photos attached of Jason Dunn Way.

Warren resident and Dystonia champion Jason Dunn is a tireless champion and advocate who has been shedding light on Dystonia over the years by requesting we light up city hall, requesting proclamations, promoting fundraisers, and spreading awareness. Several years ago, in my first term as Mayor, I met Jason Dunn and we were able to get a new home built for him through Habitat for Humanity.

An estimated 250,000 people in the United States have Dystonia, which is a chronic movement disorder affecting the brain and nervous system. It is the third most common movement disorder after essential tremor and Parkinson’s disease. Dystonia causes excessive, uncontrollable muscle spasms. The muscle spasms twist the body and limbs into involuntary movements and awkward postures. There is currently no cure for Dystonia.

Sincerely,
