Mayor Eric Adams is cracking down on city property owners who haven’t been paying their water bills.
The mayor says 2,400 accounts owe the city a combined total of more than $100 million.
He warns they must pay up soon or lose water all together.
The mayor says these businesses will get stickers on the front, warning that water will be shut off if debts aren’t paid in two weeks.
