Local group urges city council to vote on peace resolution | #citycouncil

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Members of Veterans for Peace in Evansville rallied downtown on Friday calling for the city council to vote on a peace resolution.

Earlier this month, Veterans for Peace asked the city council to pass a resolution showing support for a cease-fire in Gaza and the release of all hostages. The group was joined at the Four Freedoms Monument on Friday by members of the local Palestinian Solidarity Coalition before marching to the Civic Center.

Several speakers were at the event to discuss the conflict in Gaza.
