Friends of Flagstaff’s Future and Flagstaff Community First have sent a clear message to the city council to involve the community more into its decision making that would have a major impact on our community.
“Instead, NAH leaders said they will begin finding a new location for the proposed campus should 480 fail, either in Flagstaff or elsewhere in northern Arizona.” That is an arrogant reply.
Any future process must be vetted through the various city commissions, and be subjected to the scrutiny of the building and development regulations as would any other business.
There were many missteps the city council chose to support while voting to move this proposal forward. This failure of Proposition 480 sends a clear message and more importantly to the city council that their governance of our community is not about them, but about us as a community.
