Last minute tips for Primary Election day in Arkansas


Election workers across the state of Arkansas are gearing up for the Primary Election. “There are also some local races at the county level that are being decided right here in this election,” Benton County Election Coordinator Kim Dennison. “These are just as important as the one in November is.”Voters in Benton and Washington counties can vote at any voting center in their county on Tuesday. “There are 37 polling locations throughout Benton County tomorrow,” Dennison said. Chairs of the NWA Young Democrats and the NWA Young Republicans talked about how they’re getting their communities ready for the big day. “We’ve got individuals going out to the different polls and holding signs for candidates and leading up to the election, we held a primary social for all the different political candidates,” NWA Young Republicans Chairman William Terrill said. “Because this is such an abnormally long election year, people are still stretching their legs so to speak,” NWA Young Democrats Vice-Chair Billy Cook said. “Still trying to figure out who is on the ballot and what issues are being discussed.”Election officials say the most important thing to remember at the polls is your Arkansas ID. If you forget it or do not have one you’ll have to fill out a provisional ballot and show your ID at a later date.
