LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman has received her brand-new cowboy hat, courtesy of the Golden Knights’ playoff victory.
Goodman shared a video Wednesday of receiving the felt Stetson from Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson.
The hat is payment for the bet the two mayors placed over the Golden Knights and Stars facing off in the Western Conference Final.
“Mayor Johnson, you are a man of your word,” Goodman said as she tried on the hat.
She welcomed Johnson to visit Las Vegas should the Golden Knights win the Stanley Cup.
Johnson shared video last week of him selecting the hat for Goodman, saying it would come with a standard Stetson band, a custom “bling band” and a hat sponge.
For good measure, the underside of the brim is branded with his initials, E-L-J.
