Kellyanne Conway to headline Alabama GOP Winter Dinner | #republicans | #Alabama | #GOP

Conservative political consultant Kellyanne Conway will be the keynote speaker next month at the Alabama Republican Party’s Winter Dinner in Birmingham, the party announced Thursday evening.

Held at the Birmingham Sheraton Hotel, the event is scheduled for February 9 at 7 p.m., with individual tickets priced at $150 a piece. Sponsorship packages range from $2,500 to $10,000, with proceeds going towards the Alabama GOP.

Conway served as former President Donald Trump’s campaign manager during the 2016 election, the first woman to have run a successful presidential campaign in American history, and later served as Trump’s Senior Counselor to the President from 2017 to 2020. She later joined Fox News as a contributor, and frequently appears on such programs as Hannity and The Five.

“Kellyanne Conway is one of the most respected and recognized conservative strategists in the country today,” Alabama GOP Chairman John Wahl told Alabama Daily News Friday on Conway’s visit. “She’s pulled in big wins for leading Republicans across the United States. We are looking forward to hearing her insights into the 2024 election cycle and her thoughts on the best path forward for Republicans to win.”

Prior to the 2016 election, Conway has served as a Republican strategist and pollster for a number of prominent conservative clients, including Gov. Kay Ivey, Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-TN, and former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

Conway’s visit marks just the latest example of prominent Republican figures visiting Alabama, with Trump speaking in Montgomery last August, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis headlining the Alabama GOP’s previous Winter Dinner last March.

A native to New Jersey, Conway currently serves as the chair of the Center of the American Child at the American First Policy Institute, a nonprofit research organization. She’s a graduate of Trinity College and Oxford university, and earned a law degree from George Washington University Law Center.

More recently, Conway launched the consulting firm KAConsulting, which provides media training, political advice and polling services.

Conway’s visit comes just one month ahead of the Alabama Republican Primary Election, where voters will decide which Republican candidates will go on to compete in the General Election in November.
