‘Game on!’: Katie Britt secures runoff in Alabama GOP Senate primary election
Oh saran, that was incredible. Thank you. Oh my goodness! Um thank you. This is such an incredible night. We must start with giving thanks to our Lord and savior, jesus christ first Without him we are nothing. And with him we can do all things and I want to give thanks to all. I cannot believe that I may have the honor to represent you. I look at all of the people in this room, all of these faces that believed in me that believed in this journey that believed in our state when others didn’t and I want you to hear me say thank you. I am so grateful. None of this would be possible without each one of you. All the faces. This is so exciting and all this is all of Alabama. This is like corner to corner to corner. This is what it’s all about. It is clear tonight that alabamians want new blood, they want someone to go to Washington D. C. And shake it up. It is clear that they want *** true christian conservative republican who believes in the America first agenda and doesn’t just talk about it but knows how to actually get something done. Who would have thought that this public school girl from the wire grass would be standing up here leading and the United States Senate race. If that is not the american dream, I don’t know where and what shows you is the american dream is live and well here in the state of Alabama. But when we look at what is happening in this nation, we don’t recognize it anymore. And unfortunately we have the liberal left that continues to try to strip that from underneath us folks, I have said enough is enough right? We live in the greatest nation on this globe even on our worst day and I want our Children to be taught to stand for the flag and to love the United States of America. Am I right? So the values that we hold dear those of faith, family and freedom are unfortunately under attack and those are the values that we’re going to go to Washington D. C. To protect. There is no doubt that every single day that joe biden is the president, we are weaker and more vulnerable as *** nation. And do you know what I say to that game on because we know that we must fight for the american dream. We must fight for our Children y’all this race has never been about me. It has always been about Alabama. It has always been about the future of our steak and the future of our great nation and I am honored that you would walk alongside me in this journey and help make this happen. Yeah. So in order to do that, we’ve talked *** lot about this. We have traveled all across the state. We have been to every single county in Alabama and let me tell you, we have *** great state with great people and we have *** great story to tell. We do and I will tell you this, the people in Alabama know that what we have here in this state, our values, they’re worth fighting for and worth protecting. I will say this under joe biden’s presidency. Not only are we weaker and more vulnerable, this is the worst we have ever seen in our nation under his so called leadership. You know, whether it is open borders, whether it’s chaos overseas, skyrocketing violence across our nation or inflation that is through the roof. His disastrous policies are the definition of America last his radical agenda will be fatal for this nation If left unchecked people miss the America first agenda, they missed the strength that was projected by president trump overseas. People want us to return to our place in this world and that is what we are fighting for. That’s what Wesley and I have heard every single day on this campaign trail over the past 12 months and y’all, can you believe it has been 12 months? Thank you. You all have invited us into your homes, into your businesses, onto your farms, You have shared your struggles, you have shared your hopes and dreams and what you hope this nation will be for this generation. That’s sitting right here guys, this is about you. This is about preserving our nation four years. You know, as we have done this, our campaign has taken off because people know that I am the best to fight for our christian conservative values. They know that I am the best leader to move us forward with the America first agenda folks, that’s what we’ve been talking about every day from the Tennessee Valley down to the gulf coast. And that’s the message we are going to continue to deliver. It’s resonating and people, the momentum continues to build In the Senate rest assured that I will fight to secure our borders. And that starts with finishing the wall, putting back in the remain in Mexico policy and the public charge banning sanctuary cities and truly putting America 1st. Unfortunately, what appears to be my opponent moving forward has said that President trump’s border security plan is actually worse than Obama’s. Yo that’s absurd, right, Right. And it’s merely just one example of the way that he will say or do anything to benefit himself politically, no matter what the truth actually is. And that folks is the definition of *** career politician and we have waned, it’s always about them, it’s not about Alabama, it’s not about what’s best for America, it’s what elevates them. And folks, we need people that will truly lead and elevate the people. We know that actually the only border plan that was worse than Obama is actually the one that President biden is putting in right now. So President trump’s tremendous success in securing our border really, is that those are the policies folks we’ve got to get back to. So as we continue moving forward in this journey, I want to tell you this, we are going to keep working hard every single day. What can I do it folks? We wouldn’t be here without you. And so we’re going to continue this momentum. We have 28 days to make this happen. The image and future of the state is on the ballot. I know that we’ve had enough of career politicians. So let’s show back up on january 20. I mean june 21st. Okay, unless you’re not gonna tell you what Your 21st and let’s make this happen, I want to tell you what I want to do in D. C. We must fight to secure our border. We must restart America and be energy independent. We must rein in spending. We must stand with our courageous law enforcement officers who leave the safety of their home every single day so we can return to ours. Thanks. That’s right. Yeah. We must stand with our tremendous veterans folks. I grew up right outside truckers and when you grow up in *** place like that, you see the sacrifice of our servicemen and women every single day and you realize that sacrifice is not just there’s, it’s that of their entire family because you sit next to their Children in class while their parents are gone for months on end, some of them never having the opportunity to return home. And that is where I got my belief that we must have leaders that will never leave our soldiers blind on the battlefield. And when they returned home and conclude their honorable service, we must treat our veterans like the first class citizens that they are right.
