Jenkintown Mayor announces public meetings to discuss safety services, police sustainability


Gabe Lerman, Mayor of Jenkintown Borough, published a statement to residents regarding upcoming public meetings to share information and discuss the future of the Jenkintown Police Department.

“In preparation for these upcoming meetings, we ask that you read the Smeal Report when it is released and review factual material that will be provided to you via our website and through an email last,” Lerman wrote. “We also ask that you consider attending the community meeting to hear the facts and ask questions regarding the possible solutions that are being considered.”

A Committee Meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 21 at 7:00pm, Lerman wrote. A second meeting is tentatively scheduled for Monday, February 26 at 7:00pm in the Jenkintown High School auditorium.
