JEFFERSON CITY − The filing period to get on the ballot for a Jefferson City Council seat in 2024 begins 8 a.m. Tuesday.

City Council seats are two-year terms, and one will be elected from each of the five wards.

Hopeful candidates should register with the election clerk’s office in the Boone Bancroft Room of City Hall, located at 320 E. McCarty Street.
