Isle of Palms Mayor Phillip Pounds appears on ‘Good Morning Charleston’

Isle of Palms Mayor Phillip Pounds joined News 4 live Friday morning during “Good Morning Charleston” ahead of his Coffee with the Mayor event where the mayor will be listening to feedback from residents on city projects, talking about town government, and ways to volunteer and improve the community.

That event will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Isle of Palms Recreation Center.

During the interview, Pounds spoke about the upcoming spring break and what the city has changed and implemented after last year’s shooting on the island that left five people injured, a mutual aid agreement between the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and the Isle of Palms, and seawalls and the emergency ordinance that allows people who live in a specific area to build their own.

You can watch the interview in its entirety below.
