Greensboro’s safety review team shut down the nightclub for fire and life safety violations after Devonte Stephenson was shot and killed outside the business, and a second person was hospitalized.

Greensboro Mayor Nancy Vaughan spoke on behalf of the city and said, “The city of Greensboro does not have the legal ability to close them since there are no outstanding code compliance issues.
