Four locals included in newest Leadership Arkansas selections

Garland County has four individuals on the roster of Leadership Arkansas’ 17th class.

The 54-member class is comprised of individuals from all over the state who “are leaders within their respective communities and industries and are interested in expanding that involvement across the state of Arkansas,” according to the state Chamber of Commerce.

Joining the class from Garland County are Sara Brown, Tammy Browning, Don Gooch and Benjamin Van Wagner.

Brown is the director of Institutional Advancement at the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts, and Browning is president of the Governor’s Mansion Association as well as executive broker at Trademark Real Estate. Gooch is the regional director of Community Banks for Arvest Bank, and Van Wagner is vice president of Information Technology at Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.

The class will work together over a nine-month period “to become better acquainted with the issues facing Arkansas, experience the best that the regions and communities offer, network with some of the best and brightest in the state, and hone their already-demonstrated leadership capacities,” the state Chamber of Commerce website says.
