Former Pasadena Vice Mayor Jacque Robinson Endorses Dr. Phlunté Riddle for California State Assembly District 41 – Pasadena Now

Dr. Phlunté Riddle announced on Wednesday that she has earned an endorsement from Former Pasadena Vice Mayor Jacque Robinson in the race to represent Assembly District 41.

“Dr. Phlunté Riddle has the experience we need fighting for Pasadena and the Foothill communities in our State Capitol. We worked together to make Pasadena a safer community and a world-class destination through collaboration and neighborhood investment. I trust Phlunté to advocate for our region and expand educational and economic opportunities for all,” stated Robinson.

Robinson served on the Pasadena City Council from 2007-2015. She is the co-founder of the Pasadena/Altadena Vision 20/20 Initiative, aimed at decreasing violence and providing education and employment opportunities for high-risk, high-need youth, young adults, and their families.

Riddle spent nearly 30 years at the Pasadena Police Department, moving through the ranks as a patrol officer, detective, and community liaison. She broke barriers when she became the first African American female sergeant, lieutenant, and then sworn Adjutant to the Chief of Police in the history of the Pasadena Police Department.

She lives in District 4 with her husband Edgar. The couple has three sons and six grandchildren.

In 2019, Governor Gavin Newsom appointed her as a Board of Juvenile Discharge Hearings Commissioner with California’s Division of Juvenile Justice, which the California Senate confirmed with a 39-0 vote. She owns a consulting company, where she trains executives helping them to solve generational communications challenges within organizations.
