The city of Des Moines will pay to settle a racial profiling case against the police department.The city council approved the settlement Monday in a four-year-long dispute with Dejuan Haynes.Haynes sued the city in 2018 after police pulled him over and put him in handcuffs. He claims the officers didn’t have probable cause to make a traffic stop.The city approved a $45,000 settlement for Haynes.
