David Pryor laying-in-state at Arkansas State Capitol


Former Arkansas Senator and Governor David Pryor will be laying-in-state on April 26 at the Arkansas State Capitol today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Camden native died Saturday at age 89.

Governor Sanders and First Gentleman Bryan Sanders paid their respects in the Capitol rotunda. The public will be able to pay their respects during the allotted time slot.

A spokesperson for the Arkansas Secretary of State’s office said they don’t track everyone who has lay-in-state at the Capitol, but recipients of the honor include Representative John Walker in 2019 and Arkansas Treasurer Mark Lowery in 2023.
