City Council Picks New Santa Rosa City Attorney | #citycouncil


The Santa Rosa City Council has chosen Teresa Stricker as the new City Attorney for Santa Rosa, its officials announced Thursday.

Stricker’s formal contract will be approved by the council on Aug. 22, and she is expected to start on Nov. 6, Santa Rosa’s public information office said in a news release.

Stricker replaces former City Attorney Sue Gallagher, who retired on July 29.

“We are so excited for her to join the team,” Mayor Natalie Rogers said in a statement. “Her wealth of experience practicing law in local government, management, and the fact that she has previously worked for the City of Santa Rosa, will help her hit the ground running.”

Stricker is the incumbent City Attorney of San Pablo in Contra Costa County. She also served as City Attorney of Richmond, according to Santa Rosa officials.
