The statement says “Sadly Louie Sanchez seems more interested in political posturing than ensuring a successful investigation. Our city needs him doing actual work to make Albuquerque safer, rather than trying to punish Chief Medina who has been a leader on reform and exposing corruption and is working with the FBI to hold bad actors accountable.”Sanchez said making the city safer may require a new top cop adding his resolution “has nothing to do with politics at all.
