Homeless Initiative (2.i)

City Council will receive an update on the City of West Hollywood Five-Year Plan to Address Homelessness in Our Community, changes in regional homeless services, and program outcomes from City-funded non-profit agency partners

Traffic calming and safety measures (2.j)

City Council will consider approving speed lumps on the 1100-1200 block of Orange Grove Avenue as part of the City’s ongoing Neighborhood Traffic Management process. 

CicLAvia (2.k)

City Council will consider approval of an agreement for services with CicLAvia to produce an open streets event on Santa Monica Boulevard from La Brea Avenue to San Vicente Boulevard, in coordination with the City of Los Angeles.

LGBTQ+ Advisory Board (2.n.)

2N City Council will consider a resolution changing the composition of the LGBTQ+ Advisory Board to include individuals that identify as non-binary.

Bicycle Giveaway to Combat Climate Change (2.o)

City Council will consider directing staff to organize a bicycle giveaway pilot program to provide free bicycles to community members to further the City’s climate action goals. As part of this pilot program, the City will purchase a limited number of bicycles from a vendor to give to residents. Participating residents must commit to reduce the number of vehicle miles traveled or ride the bike a certain number of days per week in order to qualify and staff will develop metrics to measure the success of the program.

Co-sponsorship of the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation “Ball to End AIDS” Event (2.q/2.r.)

City Council will consider a request to co-sponsor The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation “Ball to End AIDS” event on Thursday, September 15, 2022, in West Hollywood Park, which includes a request to close San Vicente Boulevard., between Melrose Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard, for event arrivals.

Sponsoring the Monkeypox Town Hall (2.s)

City Council will consider co-sponsoring the Los Angeles Blade’s Monkeypox Town Hall, to be hosted on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

Alcoholic Beverage Sales and Outdoor Dining Zone Text Amendments (3.a)

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE SALES: This item proposes two changes related to alcoholic beverage sales at restaurants: 1) it allows the sale of alcohol for takeout in accordance with ABC regulations and State law and 2) it streamlines the hearing process for alcoholic beverage sales for restaurants indoors at all hours and at outdoor dining areas before 11:00 p.m

OUTDOOR DINING PARKING REDUCTION:  This is a permanent measure to what was temporarily established through the OUTZones under Urgency Ordinance No. 20-1106U. Staff proposes to allow outdoor dining spaces to operate without additional parking, regardless of square footage. Specifically, it would eliminate parking requirements for all outdoor dining areas in the public-right-of-way (sidewalks and metered parking) and on private property.
