Carson City mayor celebrates successes at State of City luncheon | Carson City Nevada News


On Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024, Mayor Lori Bagwell gave her second State of the City address to a sold-out crowd of about 110 at the Gold Dust West.

The event was organized by the Carson City Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Southwest Gas.

The primary content of her address was to celebrate the successes of the various agencies that make up city government. The entire address may be viewed here and in the video below.

The Mayor and Carson City Board of Supervisors as well as Assemblyman PK O’Neill were presented “homemade” cherry pies in honor of George Washington’s Birthday especially made by the Gold Dust West Executive Chef Buddy Love thanks to the generosity of General Manager Mike Jones.

The Mayor is looking to gain more citizen input at two important upcoming input sessions to discuss how to fund road improvements that are being demanded by citizens and to provide input into the future of land uses by
providing comments on the master plan.
