Carl releases fifth ad for the AL-1 GOP primary — ‘Capitol Hill is full of nutjobs with nutty ideas’ | #republicans | #Alabama | #GOP

U.S. Rep. Jerry Carl (R-Mobile) released his fifth TV advertisement on Friday in the Republican primary election for the first congressional district. The ad titled “Nuts” highlights Carl’s record of being a conservative who has delivered on Trump’s agenda and doesn’t back down to the liberal nutjobs in Washington, D.C.

The ad also highlights the importance of peanuts that grow in the Wiregrass portion of the state, which has been included in Carl’s new district. Agriculture is the number one industry in Alabama, making up 1 out of every 4.6 jobs, and while the ad discusses many issues, the theme is undoubtedly a tip of the hat to those in the agriculture industry.

Carl says while eating peanuts, “Capitol Hill is full of liberal nutjobs with nutty ideas, but I’ve got a proven record of delivering on the Trump agenda and stopping liberal nutjobs from destroying our way of life.”

Carl says he has successfully taken on the Biden administration by supporting the toughest border bill in history. He mentions his stance on fighting the abortion lobby and the woke gun-grabbers who hate Alabama values.

Carl concludes, “I’m an Alabama conservative who’s got what it takes to get the job done, and I won’t back down from the fight.”

A statement from the campaign said that “Nuts” is supported by a substantial media buy across digital, cable, and broadcast platforms.

Carl outraised his opponent last quarter nearly 5:1 in fundraising and had a substantial lead in cash on hand leading into the new year, according to FEC reports released Wednesday.

However, Alabama’s first congressional district’s primary may be one of the toughest in the state. The race pits two sitting members of Congress against each other for the Republican primary. Whoever wins the Republican primary will most likely be the next congressman, as this race is considered a safe Republican seat by state and national political insiders.

The Republican primary elections will be held on March 5.
