Spectrum News NY1 will host a debate on Tuesday, Oct. 23 between two sitting City Council members running for a seat in Council District 47 in Brooklyn.
Democrat Justin Brannan and Republican Ari Kagan will appear in the half-hour-long debate, which starts at 7:25 p.m.
District 47, which includes Bay Ridge, Bath Beach and Coney Island, was reconfigured during redistricting in a way that drew both Council members into it. Kagan then switched parties from Democrat to Republican, setting up the showdown between the two sitting Council members.
