Bowling Green Mayor Todd Alcott set to run for second term

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Current Bowling Green Mayor Todd Alcott held a campaign event Tuesday night, announcing his plan to run for re-election this year.

His campaign event at Bowling Green Ballpark featured appearances from local and state elected officials.

Mayor Alcott has this message for his supporters ahead of November’s general election:

“Bowling Green is an amazing community. I love serving… this is about picking the best leader, the one that serves, and has a servant’s heart… and I want people to know that I serve everybody… making a decision is something that I don’t take lightly. But I do it from my heart… and I do it for our community,” he says.

Alcott says if he’s re-elected, he plans to continue working on a new collaborative center at the Salvation Army among other things he’s started working on in his first term.

We will have a sit-down interview with opposing candidate Patti Minter in the coming weeks.
