The Retention Awareness Council would like to invite you to attend the Black History Month events scheduled at ASU Three Rivers.
This year’s theme is centered around soul food. The Courtyard Café will be serving a soul food special each week.
On Feb. 19, we will watch the documentary series on “High on the Hog” which is about how American food has been shaped from African American culture. Popcorn and snacks will be provided.
On Feb. 22, we will have guest panelists gathered to discuss how these foods were used to survive and how we have evolved over time. Free lunch will be served during the forum.
On Feb. 26, Part 2 of the “High on the Hog” docuseries will be shown. Keep in mind that a Soul Food special of the week will be available at the Courtyard Café for the rest of the month.
