Beckville City Council
The Beckville City Council will meet for a regular meeting on Monday, July 10 at 7 p.m. at Beckville City Hall, 211 Washington St. in Beckville.
Agenda
1. Call to order and roll call.
2. Citizen comments.
Texas Government Code Section 551.007 requires that a governmental body must allow each member of the public who desires to address the body regarding an item on an agenda the opportunity to do so before or during the body’s consideration of the item. The “Citizens Comments” portion of the meeting meets the requirements of this law and is the public’s opportunity to speak on any item on, or not on, the agenda. Those who wish to speak will have three (3) minutes to do so unless additional time has been requested.
3. Consider and approve the minutes from June 12, 2023.
4. Consider and approval of monthly expenditures less than $50,000.00 and authorization by
City Council for payment of same.
5. Discuss and take action on awarding the Texas Department of Agriculture TxCDBG
CDV21-0294 project to Duplichain Contractors, LLC in the amount of $321, 274 and to commit additional matching funds in the amount of $48,774.
6. Water/sewer report from Wade Allums.
7. Report from Mayor Andy Nixon.
8. Convene into Executive Session:
A. ATTORNEY CONSULTATION/GOVT. CODE SECTION 551.071.
CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY REGARDING PENDING, THREATENED AND/OR CONTEMPLATED LITIGATION AND/OR MATTERS IN WHICH THE DUTY OF THE ATTORNEY TO THE GOVERNMENTAL BODY UNDER THE TEXAS DISCIPLINARY RULES OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT OF THE STATE BAR OF TEXAS CLEARLY CONFLICTS WITH CHAPTER 551 OF THE TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE.
9. Convene into Open Session.
10. Consider old or new business for the August 14, 2023 meeting.
