Asa Hutchinson wins best-dressed accolades on the campaign trail

Asa Hutchinson wins best-dressed accolades on the campaign trail – Arkansas Times

Arkansas’s former governor is looking sharp out there in those french cuffs and charcoal suits, and a well-known menswear expert is taking notice.

Asa Hutchinson‘s well-tailored look leads off a video by Derek Guy, a men’s clothing writer who’s Twitter-famous as the menswear guy. Guy is all the rage of late for his funny, earnest and kind-but-honest takes on men’s fashion.

Guy is a fan of Hutchinson’s sartorial choices on the campaign trail, and leads off a new video about campaign fashion with praise for Hutchinson’s well-fitting suit and his dress shirt that’s just a little extra.

Joe Biden also fares well in the video, where he’s praised for his preppy classic casual look. Guy came back later on Twitter to note that it’s possible Biden rickrolled us all.

Mike Pence takes some criticism for poor sock choice. Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s too-tight jacket and “dinky” tie earned the dreaded “this is bad” rating. So did Ron DeSantis’ casual look. Black dress belt+black cowboy boots is a no, especially with a shirt that’s “too large for his neck.”

While Hutchinson wins top prize for looking the flyest of the Republican presidential hopefuls, he’s struggling a bit in other areas. He needs more donors to meet the criteria to take part in Republican primary debates. And Hutchinson’s poll numbers are still low, although he’s meeting Connor Roy’s threshold for success, with 1% support.
