Arkansas’ Sanders vows to fight Biden’s policies

Sarah Sanders, the Republican gubernatorial nominee for Arkansas is vowing to fight President Joe Biden’s policies if elected governor in November. “This state is fired up and ready to see a new generation of leadership step in,” the former Trump administration press secretary told supporters. Voters, she said are “ready to make sure that we have somebody who is a fighter that is capable of pushing back against the radical left and the crazy ideas that are coming out of Washington.” Public polling has shown Sanders leading by double digits and she’s shattered fundraising records in the predominantly Republican state. During her campaign she has mostly avoided the media, choosing rather to directly speak with the voters of Arkansas. “We’re going around the state taking nothing for granted and keeping our foot on the gas and going out and talking about our message directly to the people of Arkansas, exactly what we’ve spent the last year and a half doing,” she said. Her opponents in the November election are Democratic nominee Chris Jones and Libertarian nominee Ricky Dale Harrington. Jones, an ordained Baptist minister and nuclear engineer, cast his early ballot on Monday. He says Arkansans are going to choose “community over chaos” in the election. Early voting has already begun in Arkansas.
