Arkansas Crisis Center to hold Together for Tomorrow event for suicide prevention

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Arkansas Crisis Center will be holding their Together for Tomorrow event next month as part of a collective effort to prevent suicide in the Natural State.

The ACC’s board president Josh Gonzales stopped by KARK 4 News to discuss what they are doing to help combat mental health issues and Together for Tomorrow.

Gonzales said that their vision for Arkansas is zero suicides by 2025. By calling their helpline at 988, crisis call specialists confidentially and anonymously offer intervention and counseling, link the caller with resources in their area, and ultimately, save lives by preventing crises from becoming life-threatening.

For those wanting to volunteer, Gonzales said that they have positions available for communication volunteers and connection volunteers.

The group will be hosting their Together for Tomorrow event on April 19 at the M2 Gallery where art and mental health advocacy converge for a crucial cause.
