The 2024 race for Baltimore mayor has a new, but familiar, candidate.Businessman Bob Wallace on Wednesday announced his campaign for mayor, saying he will address improving education, reducing crime and building a more inclusive economy.Wallace ran in the 2020 mayor’s race as an independent. He now joins former Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon to challenge incumbent Mayor Brandon Scott in the May 14, 2024, Democratic primary.As of Tuesday, candidates who have officially filed with the Maryland State Board of Elections for the Baltimore mayor’s race are teacher Wendy Bozel and small business owner Wendell Hill-Freeman.
