Alaska Man Charged With Threatening to Kidnap, Harm Sen. Murkowski  | #alaska | #politics

A suspect from Kenai, Alaska has been charged with making threats to kidnap and injure Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, the Department of Justice announced.

Arther Graham, 46, is accused of submitting a “web form submission” in September to Murkowski’s office in which he threatened her, the Department of Justice announced in a Wednesday statement.

Graham, who was upset about a pending eviction, allegedly threatened to “hunt” the senator and wear her skin “like clothes,” according to the federal complaint against him.

He identified himself in the threat, said officials.

An investigation into the threats was launched after the senator’s staff flagged the message to Capitol Police.

Graham is charged with making interstate threats to kidnap and harm the senator. If convicted of the charges he could face up to five years in prison.

Graham was taken into custody by the FBI and Capitol Police last month and he’ll make his first court appearance on Friday.
