Alaska’s gubernatorial candidates will participate in their one-and-only televised debate this election cycle on Wednesday evening, starting at 7 p.m.

Incumbent Republican Gov. Mike Dunleavy will debate independent former Gov. Bill Walker, Democratic former state legislator Les Gara, and Republican former Kenai Peninsula Borough Mayor Charlie Pierce.

The four candidates for governor have all shared a stage only once this cycle. That was last week at a Resource Development Council forum in Anchorage.

The series will continue when U.S. House candidates meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26. U.S. Senate candidates will debate Thursday, Oct. 27, also at 7 p.m.

The debates will be broadcast live statewide on KTUU, KAKM and KTOO 360TV. The debates will also air on Alaska Public Media — KSKA — and the Alaska Public Radio Network. The debates will be streamed online on Alaska Public Media’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
